Oops! I cut off all my hair!

Whoops! Right? Yeah I have a hair commitment problem. Anyways I cut it all off and now it’s super short. I did it because now I’m in Hong Kong!! I was going to make it easier to wash and all that jazz. I don’t completely love it but I am okay with. I so should have went with an a-line. It’s alright. I wasn’t going to cut it this short but I was 2 inches away from being about to donate my hair so I did the right thing. Perhaps by the end of this exchange semester I will have long hair again.

Hello 2012.

Been taking a look into my closet and realized that my clothing palette includes blacks, whites, greys and browns. If I’m lucky I’ll be able to reach for a deep red or blue once in awhile. While most people new years resolution is to wear more colors, I think mine will be to stick with more classic cuts and neutrals. Because let’s be honest, how can you go wrong with neutrals?

Top: Frenchi Silky Tunic @ Nordstorms BP. Apparel
Cardigan: Guess
Shorts: Anchor Blue (yes my famous 7th grade shorts that still fit!)
Belt: American Eagle
Boots: Breckelle’s Outlaw in Tan
Bag: Longchamp’s Le Pliage Medium

Powder: Everyday Minerals’ Medium Beige Neutral in Original Glo
Gel Liner: Mac Fluidline in Blacktrack
Mascara: Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils
Eyeshadow: NYX’s Samlon & Wet ‘n Wild Vanity Palette (bottom right)
Blush: Benefit’s CORALista
Lips: Fresh’s Sugar Passion Tinted Lip Treatment SPF 15 in Passion

I spent yesterday down visiting a friend in a city far, far away from me. It took around 3 hours round trip of a drive to get there but it was pretty worth it. Got some really good pizza at Toppers and then treated myself to ice cream at Sweet Retreat. It’s the place I have ever been to that has mint ice cream without those annoying little chocolate chip pieces! Instead it held oreos. …How can I say no? It’s called Mint Oreo Crunch.

B.C.T – Bacon, Chicken & Tomato! It came with peperoni though and no crust. Pretty yummy!

Marble Black Raspberry & Pineapple Coconut (left) & Mint Oreo Crunch (right)

Anyone notice anything different by the way? My hair! It’s no longer that light brown with the blonde streaks. It’s red! I’m not sure if I like it red. I needed it all to be one color because this multi-color thing just wasn’t working out for me anymore with roots growing out. I’m not sure why I went red, I wanted brown but I guess it was a lack of judgment. A super light color was hard to keep up with my hair growing so fast anyways. Do not fear, I’m pretty sure I’ll be back to light brown soon enough.

And for those you don’t know I’m packing my life away because I’m going abroad for 5 months to study (and play). I guess that’s when I realized my clothing palette as well. Cross your fingers for more updates soon!

Disneyland has taken over my life.

What do you know? I’ve sold my soul to Disneyland for the past couple of weeks. I’ve gone twice this week and a couple more times the last months or so. My pass doesn’t expire until April but I will be out of the country starting in January so I must take all the chances I can do now! However I’m taking Disneyland down a notch or two since finals week is this week. I have two down, one more to go! Expect updates soon.

Peacock Costume & Makeup

Hello, hello! I am back. After a way too long hiatus, I am back. I have been so caught up in my personal life and finishing my last year of college strong that I have neglected this blog for too long. This blog and my social life to be honest.

If you know anything about me, it’s that I lovelovelove Halloween. This year I didn’t get to celebrate it too much since I was caught up in other things but I did manage to go down to Los Angeles with a couple of my girl friends for some drinks and dancing. Geisha House in LA is just fabulous. There is a random fireplace placed in the middle of the dance floor but other than that, the venue is nice.

Blue Silk Top: Forever 21
Black Skirt: H&M
Belt: Handmade
Shoes: Audrey Brooke’s Shocker

This year I decided to be a peacock. No, it’s not because of the Katy Perry song. I did a wedding just a month ago and it was peacock theme. The florist didn’t want any of the leftover peacock feathers when the wedding was over so I took them all home. I’m sad I didn’t get to use a lot of them but I did get a couple uses out of them. I made a belt and my headband using the feathers. I don’t have an upclose photo of the belt. After a night of clubbing it was completely trashed! It’s okay though since you got the general idea that I was a peacock.

I kept it simple because it’s clubbing afterall. But I really wanted to play with makeup instead so I went all out on my eyes. After all they are the window to your soul, right? I cannot believe how pigmented these drugstore eyeshadow where. The only thing I used that was not drugstore was the primer, my trusty Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original! I’ve never used any kind of blue eye shadow before but I think I will start. Perhaps be a mermaid next year just so I can use it again! The teal color is the dye for, just look.

Blue & Teal: Maybelline Eyestudio Silk Eyeshadow in Sapphire Siren
Gold: Wet ‘n’ Wild ColorIcon Palette in #249 Vanity
Cream Liner: L’Oreal HiP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner in Black

And here are rest of the peacock touches!
Peacock headband in case people weren’t looking at my back.

My all time favorite pair of shoes! Audrey Brooke you are a shocker. (: Get it? They are called shockers by Audrey Brooke! Haha.

Here’s a photo of me and some of my girls the other night.

Hope you enjoyed my Halloween Peacock post! What were you all for Halloween, leave me a comment below and let me know!

Moving, again.

I apologize for the lack of updates. I’ve been running around like a busy bee with all sorts of things lately. I have moved in and moved out of an apartment for the summer and will be moving back into a new condo soon. Most people hate packing and unpacking but I think that it’s really not that bad if you’re organized. Anyways, wifi is here and there while I’m sorting out everything so hence the lack of updates. I will be back soon!
