Disneyland for me!
So I’ve never been a Disneyland girl. I don’t know but the whole place just doesn’t seem magical to me. How can it be the Happiest Place on Earth? But I guess I never really gave it a chance. Every time I’ve been to Disneyland was either with a lot of friends or family.
I don’t remember much going to Disneyland with my family since I was far too young. I don’t remember riding anything. I do remember crying on the merry-go-around and took a picture with Cinderella (now I look at it, she looks scary). And every time I’ve gone with friends we were rushed around the park to ride everything. I want to stop and take it easy but we couldn’t because of the lines and we had to ride everything! Rush, rush, rushhhh. That’s no way to enjoy the happiest place on earth!
But there is light! The summer fun pass seems like a great idea and I’m pretty much set on getting one. It’s a 3 for $99 pass valid for 45 days after its first use (has to be before August 23). I’m quite excited. I can go three times and I can enjoy each time. If I don’t get one a ride one time, no biggie – I’ll go the next time. Too full to eat more turkey leg? No problem – next time! I guess all this time I’ve been saying I don’t like it because I’ve never been there with someone I like (like a boyfriend). I won’t die if I don’t go but it would be nice. Maybe it would be quite magical? I don’t know.
I want a picture with the castle. I want a picture with Belle, my favorite princess. I want to poke Donald Duck on the butt and run away. I want to watch fireworks with someone special and share a kiss. Is it too much to ask for? Oh and I want to eat all their food. I want to buy their overpriced merch. Okay, now maybe I’m asking for too much.
I’m also excited to watch their new parade. My friend is one of the dancers in the parade. I love little shows throughout parks or the zoo. I feel like that really brings the experience to a different level.
Who’s up for a fun day in the sun running around like a kid? I am! …and hopefully my boyfriend is too.

I’ve never been to Disneyland, but I have been to Disney World, and they had a pretty fantastic night-time parade where every float was light up and there were fireworks and everything! It was definitely magical.

If you’re already forking over $99 for the summer fun pass, apply that toward an annual pass (the deluxe one)! It’s so worth it…having the convenience to go as you please and take things slow makes the experience SO much better…I’ve had an annual pass for about two months now and it feels much more relaxing and fun to go casually. I’ve gone dozens of times and the magic still isn’t lost, plus you get to know everything you’d ever want to know and more about Dland and DCA and you learn how to work the system, so an annual pass is the way to go!
