Whoops! I placed an order on Sephora! I recently heard about the Sephora Beauty Insider. I know, I’m super late on the news but considering someone that hasn’t been wearing makeup lately and wants to get back in the loop: it’s good news. They just gave out a 15% off plus a birthday gift if your birthday is within 2 weeks, which mine is. Perfect timing right? I got the following items for a birthday gift to myself part 1 (yes, there are different parts!).

Blush in Orgasm by NARS & Envy by Gucci

I’ve heard super good things about Nars blushes and tried it a couple of time at the store. It’s pretty expensive for blush but blush is my favorite type of makeup and the color is amazing. These $26 better be worth it! Also, I’ve been dying to get my hands on this perfume. My father got this for my mother once on his business trip and I always remembered how I love the way it smells. I would sneak into my parents rooms sometimes and try it on and feel so pretty. I feel bad for asking my mother to use hers because I know she really prides herself with it. So, problem solved, I got myself one! Expensive, but I know it’s going to last a long time. My Ralph by Ralph Lauren is still in use and I got that in high school!

Anyways I’m not a big makeup person because I never believed that one have to wear makeup to be beautiful. If anything, makeup is supposed to enhance your beautiful features not recreate it (which most people do…). My mother always told me that I was not allowed to wear makeup when I was younger. Being the rebel child I was, I would always take my makeup (that I bought from saving up lunch money) to school and put it on in the bathroom before school started. I had a phase in 8th grade and then in high school were I would wear makeup daily. When I got to college I just got too lazy and makeup got expensive. Now, I just wake up, brush my hair/teeth and head to school. I ought to look more pulled together and polished. I remember walking by a mirror once and said ” Wow, I look like a mess,” My hair was all over the place and I just looked silly.

It has become my new resoultion! From now on, I will try to make an effort on how I look daily. Whether it’s outfit, makeup or hair – everyday! I guess I slowly let myself slip into a too comfortable state! Tee & jeans used to be worn on a causal bad day. Now, tee & jeans are wore as a typical normal day. Bad day? Sweats. Gross. I ought to be more fashion conscious!
