I am quite a sentimental person. Memories and inside jokes make me feel so blessed everyday. It hit me a couple months ago that the one thing I gave my life, heart and soul to for 4 years in high school was memory I stop visiting. I pulled out my contact list and with the help of facebook pulled off the first Walnut High Publication’s Reunion. We had people from high school graduating class of 2007 to 2012 come out and meet new members and reunite with old members.

We shared memories of publications and all those hours spent in front of a computer using InDesign, Photoshop and hours behind a camera. We all laughed when we found a common trait, we notice fonts. Man, I still can’t stand Scriptina. And to this day I still use Georgia and Helvetica Neue as a set. I can never leave my yerdy (yearbook + nerd) tendency behind.

Here’s some photos of the outfit, food and group. Lately, I’ve been in love with neutral colors like grey, navy, white and khaki. I throw in a splash of orange sometimes but not today. And yes, I would – anything lace is a favorite of mine! Cheers to lace, ruffles (can you tell I really like this cardigan lately?) and neural colors.

Top: Abercrombie & Fitch
Cardigan: Abercrombie & Fitch
Belt: American Eagle
Shorts: Anchor Blue (LOL, I had these since 7th grade!)
Shoes: Rainbows Sandals

Give me people & food and I’ll show you a good time! We all just got bunch of lazy junk food but man, it was so good!

We’re missing a couple of people because they left early/came late and also they were out of town.

We’ll definitely be holding another one in Winter! Everyone in publications (including those who will be entering in the future) these are the shoes you have to fill, Pacemaker Winners!

Success! …Well half-success. I finally got some time on my hand to accomplish the first thing on my Summer Food Challenge 2, Baked Assorted Seafood Casserole. It was good but the only thing that bothered me was the cheese. It turned out so crispy as if where on top of cheese bread. I wanted cheese to be like chewy like the one on pizza. Did I just bake it for too long, does anyone know? I popped it in the oven for 350 degrees for 40 minutes. I wish I put more seafood but I ran out. Ahh, what a disaster. Maybe it wasn’t a success afterall? But it was still delicious nonetheless. Since it’s the first time I did anything like this, I’ll give myself a pass.

Mixed Seafood, Bread Crumbs, Cream of Mushroom Soup, Mixed Veggies, Cheese, Rice, Milk

Fry that baby! I mean rice. …Yeah fry that seafood, rice and veggie together as if you’re doing fried rice.

Mix rice with soup and top it off with bread crumbs and cheese.

Why is my cheese so crunchy?!

I did not have a casserole dish. …Only a pie dish. SAME DIFFERENCES.

Yummy!

Spring Break has come and gone. I spent the last day of spring break in the good company of friends, video games (which they never let me win in) and food. Nothing better than to revisit the good old times on a lazy Saturday. But as much as we like to reminisce the past we like the present and future just as much. So my friends wanted to try new food and I suggested trying “Bò 7 món” also known as 7 Courses of Beef. It’s a selection of beef dishes in Vietnamese cuisine, which is typically served at weddings and is a representative of higher-end Vietnamese cuisine (source). It’s really good and if you like the taste/smell of fish sauce this is a must! But be ready to get your hands dirty because you’ll be making your own spring rolls for the whole course through. Fancy, fancy in my yummy tummy!

Anyways, I woke up to get ready for a day of fun and food and was feeling like I should take more risk with my outfits so I added a hat and wore wedges out. I’m not big risk taker, but baby steps it is! I am not a big fan of fedoras…and I used to hate it. But after wearing one all day, I can say I DO like them .They are super cute. I borrowed this one from a friend for a project. It’s so cute I want to keep it! Anyways DO take risk, it’s more fun! I’m posting big photos today because I ended up really liking my outfit + makeup. Enjoy.

I love how the brim of the hat really enhances the color of my hair. Not a blondie yet but I really do wish one day I would have blonde hair. And yay for finally getting my brows done. & I finally noticed how clear my skin was in this photo. People always tell me that but I’ve never noticed it until now. No photoshop, I swear!

Gel Liner: L’Oreal HiP in Black
Mascara: None! Boo! I left my FairyDrops back at the apartment. So sad!
Eyeshadow: Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette – see below
Blush: NYX Mauve
Chapstick: Nivea’s a Kiss of Moisture Hydrating SPF 4
Base: K5 - Crease & Outer Corners:G8 – Highlight: I2

Since I got my Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette I’ve been using it almost every day. Here’s a chart I’ve made so it makes sense to what color I used. This chart makes the colors sooo off. It just doesn’t capture the glitter in some of them as well as the colors.

I rarely wear my glasses because I feel so dorky in them. I do when I drive and when I’m in class. I just felt like wearing them for the day being. Here’s a look. Aren’t you special? And yes, I understand I have very tiny feet. Size 6 for a 5’6″ girl ftw! Anyways, here’s the outfit:

Ah! It’s been more than a month since I posted. I really should make use of my queue! Anyways, I’ve been a busy bee working hard at my studies as well as sorority and playing way too much. I am starting to develop a sweet tooth! I’ve been having dessert every day for the past three days and I’m really thinking of starting a dessert photo blog. I will keep you guys updated.

Speaking of dessert, I went with my friend Jordan last week to Sprinkles Cupcake. This place needs no introduction. It is famous for its cupcake and heavy loaded frosted. I am a-a-a-addicted! If you live in Newport Beach, you have to know what it is. Don’t just take my word for it, go try some yourself! More location around Southern California to be open soon! Oh and follow them on Twitter, free cupcakes daily! Check out our free cupcakes.

Free Cupcake of the day? Any of your choice! Orange Cupcake (Mine) & Red Velvet Cupcake (My friend Jordan’s)

This is one of their lighter flavored cupcake. Nonetheless, delicious!

Cardigan: Wet Seal
Top: Abercrombie & Fitch
Jeans: American Eagle
Bag: Kimchi Blue
Sunglasses: Dior
Shoes (not pictured): Rainbows

That was the outfit I wore to my Sushi + Sprinkles Cupcakes playdate! Yes, it is winter in the states but it was surprisingly warm and sunny so I broke out in my summer clothes. Enjoy!

The weather was getting a bit dark and cold but that never stops me from having a good day, a good shopping day that is. I spend the afternoon at The Block in Orange and then for dinner at House Of Shabu Shabu, all you can eat hot pot and sushi restaurant. I had such a fabulous day and don’t recall the last time I had this much fun. I promised my friend that the first time I wear my UGGs would be with him since he’s the reason why I have them anyways and I would wear them to eat hot pot only because that means it’s finally cold enough.

Leather Jacket: Aryn K
Blue & Black Striped Top: Guess?
Black Pants: UNIQLO
Shoes: UGGs Classic Short in Chestnut
Headband: Forever 21

Boo! I love that Guess? shirt but too bad I don’t have a picture of the back. There’s no back to that shirt and it actually ties at the neck like a halter but with sleeve. I don’t know how to explain it, maybe next time I wear it I’ll take a photo of the back. But I hate leaning onto walls and such without a jacket on because it’s always such a cold surprise for me! I am too silly.

My hair is getting ridiculously long! The color of it is ever changing as well. I dyed it Mocha Orange the a week ago but it is finally starting to show. Took it long enough! Will post about that experience later. And excuse the sorority squat pose. I am in the habit of it well, for forever.

Moisturizer: Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily SPF 15
Powder: L’oreal True Match in N4
Gel Liner: L’Oreal HiP in Black
Blush: NARS in Orgasm
Chap stick: Nivea’s a Kiss of Moisture Hydrating SPF 4
Lipstick: Rimmel Lasting Finish Intense Wear in Kiss

This is my everyday face! Starting to get bored of it, any ideas? Some days if I’m feeling fancy I’ll put on some eyeshadow but most days, I am just not in the mood. Oh and I cannot stress enough, wear moisturizer! Your face will thank you later.

I try to never pull my hair all the way back. I don’t like the way my forehead looks but my bangs were just being out of control and I needed a quick fix. I love my bow headband. It makes me feel like I just walked out of the set of Gossip Girl. A boy once asked me if my bow headband was holding my up halo. Cheesy, I know. But it definitely made me giggle because it was somewhat cute.

Nom nom nom! Oops we finished our first plate of sushi already when I took this photo! I just couldn’t wait! I highly recommend this place, House of Shabu Shabu.
